What Matters the Most

I know that I have been posting a lot lately about the signs of the times and prophecies. I want all of you to know that we shouldn't fear any of these things. It is not God's intention to bring us any fear, and we shall trust in him and take refuge under his wings. God will take care of his children like he has since the beginning of time.

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7

Do not worry heavily about these times, for they shall all come to pass like God has spoken. The reason I write these things is because we shall see the Lord drawing nigh and take sharing the Gospel and getting right with the Lord more seriously.

"So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors." Mark 13:29

"And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee." Deutronomy 30:1

Let us remember what matters the most. God tells us to love him with all our hearts, mind and strength. God tells us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. These are the greatest commandments. Let us keep those commandments and observe these all the time.

"And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these." Mark 12:30-31

And the Lord calls us to GO and preach the Gospel to all the nations.

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Mark 16:15

Let us never lose sight of what truly matters no matter what.

And rejoice, for we know we are saved! When Jesus comes, we are going home with him! Let us feel exhilirated and remember how thrilling that is! SisterLisa wrote a wonderful post about the excitement of the Lord's coming at AG, "That Feeling of Rapture."

It is easy to be anxious with the uncertainty of our times. I find myself worrying about my children. However, when I feel fear creeping I quote some of my favorite verses about God's strength and love for his children.

I can relate about worrying about my children too. I worry about them the most and I always want to make sure they stay with God no matter what. God knows and he takes care of our families for us.

A great reminder, Charlene :) How important it is to keep the Lord as our first love, and to tell others about Him. Think about the millions who do not believe in God... unless they repent, they will be punished for all eternity... it's enough to make us want to tell someone about Jesus, isn't it?!

I admit, I have been feeling fearful but then I have to remind myself that we have God.. the ultimate weapon against evil!! Those who oppose Jesus, well, lets just say I pray for them (shakes head).

P.S. Lisa's blog about Rapture made me super excited, I couldn't stop grinning in bed last night and it made all of my troubles seem so petty... and temporary!

Martha, I pray everyday for Him to come back. I tell Him how much I want to be with Him. I believe this is why I experience this kind of closeness with Him.

I think that the sign of times is so much closer than most of Christians even realize and it is so exciting - the part that worries me the most is all of my friends an family who are NOT saved! I am working on it, but it's hard to imagine Heaven without them! Awesome post!!
