The Fool's Holiday

In light of the recent April Fool's Day, I wanted to bring some insights about this holiday. It seems like a silly holiday where people can act like complete fools of themselves, yet is that Biblical? The Bible rebukes foolishness and calls us to be wise. Being a fool is a sin and is wicked in the eyes of God. We should not partake of this holiday and celebrate foolishness.

Amanda Dixon at SuperAngel's Blog wrote an in depth explanation of April Fool's Day. I encourage all those who are interested in learning more about this holiday to visit her website. CLICK HERE for the article!

And here is an eye-opening quiz that helps us see whether we are acting in the ways of a fool, or striving for wisdom in how we live, act and speak to those around us. I hope you take a few minutes to complete this quiz!

"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.” Psalm 14:1

I've never acknowledged the april fools day or viewed it as a holiday. It's another day on the calendar of the life the Lord has blessed me with. Amen!

How are you sweet sister and those handsome boys? I am keeping you ever lifted up. I seem to see your name all over my computer and prayer journal as I have you every where praying for you and your situation. Haven't heard an update but I continue to trust GOD.

I love you very much and I'm blessed by you.

Amanda's got some really good information on her blog.

I once heard a minister say that "Foolishness is not stupidity. Foolishness is pushing wisdom away."

    That's good, isn't it?
